Flood Control, Disabled For Editing?

A problem I've faced since I started posting regularly on these forums has been the flood control, not because I'm flooding and posting individual threads/replies but because I'm editing my own post after re-reading after pressing "send". I get flood controlled while editing a post which I've already made, is there any way to disable the flood control while editing posts? If so it'd help tremendously reduce the annoyance it's causing me personally, I don't know about everyone else.
